NASHVILLE, May 10, 2012 – More than 12,000 individuals from 31 countries logged onto Facebook last night to join FANetwork's inaugural Global Sounds concert with GRAMMY-nominated Jeremy Camp. Broadcast live from his Nashville home and exclusively on Facebook, Camp gave an intimate concert for family, friends and Global Sounds participants mixed with heart-felt stories about his life and music. "Last night, Global Sounds created one of the largest gatherings of individuals through Facebook for worship and fellowship," said Charlie Stuart Gay, president of FANetwork. "When we worship God from the heart, the body of Christ is unified, and when you have a satellite truck and Facebook, there are no boundaries. We are grateful to Jeremy Camp for leading us in a night of authentic praise through his music and testimony." FANetwork's proprietary satellite television F-broadcast technology delivered within the Facebook platform allowed Camp to interact with viewers, responding to comments and answering questions throughout the live event. Camp, who was joined by his wife and fellow Christian music artist Adie, opened up with viewers about both his professional and personal life, at moments getting emotional as he told about his recent experiences overseas of seeing thousands make a decision to follow Christ and his daughter's realization of how much Jesus loved her while listening to Camp's rendition of "Give Me Jesus." "For a longtime, it has been on my heart to go into all the nations and share the Gospel and what God has done in my life through the songs He has given me," said Camp. "But to be able to gather with individuals from around the world – without having to travel – to worship together was an amazing experience." The video of the Camp concert is now available to be viewed free on the Global Sounds Facebook app through May 19. Then, Global Sounds will be launching a community of praise and worship focused on music, the Word of God and the act of service. It will provide additional never-before-seen videos, messages and surprises as well as over two hours of teaching and insights from Camp about his music and mission for the next 60-day to individuals who make a simple pledge of $5, which will support Camp's non-profit Speaking Louder Ministries. The programming can be accessed only through the Facebook App https://apps.facebook.com/jeremycampconcert/. FANetwork has partnered with Berean Christian Stores, American Bible Society, HearItFirst, New Release Tuesday, Surrender Magazine and Urban Gospel Alliance to present the May 9 Global Sounds concert with Camp.
